Twitter is now offering pre-roll ads that run from 15 to 30 sec as confirmed by Twitter’s Adam Bain.

Twitter has been testing pre-roll ads for a while but until now there was a six-second limit on all videos. Viewers will see the new video ads before videos posted by Twitter media partners (i.e. FOX, Techcrunch). Content creators of organic videos will receive 70% of the ad revenue.

Unlike YouTube, viewers will be able to skip pre-roll ads on Twitter from the very first second of the video. Advertisers on Twitter will be charged for any view longer than three seconds.

Advertisers, how will your brand take advantage of this new capability?
